Question about Nikon D2X Digital Camera
Do I need to take this to a repair shop or is this something he'll be able to "fix". I know I shouldn't have been playing photographer but I didn't know it was that delicate.
Most likely it needs to be takken in and have a look at.
better have a profesional take a look than have the normal joe shmo handy man tryin to take apart and figure it out.
nice camera, last thing i would want is him trying to figure it out and ruining it more ya know?

What you can do, is that you'll actually ship your troubleshooting console over to Sony, or a repair shop. This way, you'll let them repair your console for you.
However, there's a catch... Is your warranty expired? Then Sony will ask you to pay them $150. Also, a repair shop isn't very cheap either, they'll charge you $100-$200 for the repairs.
Another important thing to keep an eye on is the fact that... It's taking lots of time before the repair and shipping process has been completed. It can take 2-6 weeks before Sony or the repair shop has completed the PS3 red screen repair.
Conclusion: This option is very expensive and time consuming.
