Casio PCR-T275 Tax settings

How do I set GST and PST separately? I live in Ontario, Canada, and some of our items need to be charged with GST only. Right now the "taxable" department charges both taxes, but how you do set up another department that charges only the GST? Thanks

Hi.
You need to set the tax status for the departments so that they charge the taxes you require. There are tables under the department programming section in the book. If you get stuck, just let me know.

I’m wondering how to set the tax for 13%. I live in Ontario. When I push the help button it only gives codes for the USA. I have a Casio PCR-T275. Thanks.

Hello, Kathleen -

The instructions for programming tax for the Casio PCR-T275 can be found in the full user manual. I can only think you do not have that.

This is the link to download the full user manual:
http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manualfile.php?cid=014003018
Note: You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) installed.

The instructions begin on Page 17 of the manual. Page 2 of the manual gives a phone number which can be called for programming assistance.

Best wishes.

In the manual for the Casio PCR T275, it does not state clearly how to program a tax rate. What is the key sequence to set a tax rate of 12% for products? Thanks.

The tax can be set through the help menu. Press HELP then select 2 for tax and it will lead you through.

I have casio pcr-t275 i want to know, how to do gst & pst tax separatly

It depends on how it is set up currently. You need to set two tax rates (tax1 and tax 2) in the machine, then link them to various departments. It is best to print out the tax settings first, then copy the status when setting the second tax. This is described in the manual. If you need one, try here: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_PCR-T275_users_manual.html
Once you have the manual, I can work you through it.

Hi, I have a Casio PCR-T465. I'm a little stumped as how to change the GST & PST to just HST of 13%. I was wondering if you could help me out. Thanks!

You need to set one rate for HST and change your department links to look at the single rate. Which tax numbers do you use at the moment? E.g. tax1 PST, tax2, GST. We need to know which tax numbers are allocated for which tax types.

Tax problem

It sounds like you have only one tax set to the item button that you are using. You need to check that you have tax1 and tax2 linked to that item.

Programming of the casio pcr-t275

Hi program the taxes like the book says but fix the gst rate, then go to program mode and push 1 subtotal, then push t/s1(taxtable 1 which is gst) and the dept number you want to use, then subtotal and cash and that will be the dept you will use for just gst. Hope I'm making sense. Took me forever to figure this out.
