Hello my friend I have a tromm lg washer, model. Wm 1832 cw.
It is making a lot of noise, It seems to be the tub inside
the plastic barrel, and it is off track.. just kinds of rides the bottom of the plastic barrel and makes a loud rumbling noise
Im pretty handy, but I need to get more info before I decide
what to do.
At one time I worked for a company that repaired commercial
equipment, so I know that I need to follow procedure before I go into it
blindly.
I’m needing a manual or service manual to see if I can
repair it or call someone.
As I said it looks like the metal barrel in the enclosed
plastic tub is off track, or perhaps bearings.
But I do know that I probably have to take apart to fix.
Can you help me or direct me to a fix... a service manual would be grreatful..
thanks for the reply , its not the plastic barrel thats the problem, its the stainless steel drum inside the barrel thats the problem.
it feels like it is not attached or came off its track, its like off center and is sitting or resting on the bottom of the barrel. and the noise is coming from the back.
the motor seems fine.
Thanks.......Robert

When you take the panels off you will see that the barrel is suspended by springs on top and fake struts on the bottom. be careful when removing the panels. if the barrel is leaning forward it's the front struts, if it's tilting upward it's the rear. and be careful how much you load in a front loader

LOUD NOISES IN MACHINE;
LOT OF THINGS TO CHECK, THE BELT LOOSE OR WORN, THE CLUTCH, THE TRANNY, THE BEARINGS BOTH TUB SEAL AND BEARING, THE REAR DRUM BEARING,
THE DRIVE PULLEY- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive pulley might be worn out, cracked, loose or bent. Remove the drive pulley and inspect it carefully. If it is damaged or defective replace it.
THE TRANSMISSION, THE MOTOR COUPLER, THE MOTOR DRIVE BEARINGS,
THE DRIVE MOTOR- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive motor bearings may have worn out. Washer motors are normally almost silent when they run. If the motor is run without a belt hooked up to it and it's loud it will have to be replaced.
First you will need to get the water out and really the only way to do that if the unit won't drain it is to open the filter to get the water out and besides that, there is probably a blockage at the filter that is preventing it from draining in the first place. You will need a lot of towels handy or a wet/dry vac at the ready!
the spin tub
or the entire tub itself?
if its the spin tub inside, it would be caused by serious issues
the whole tub is just a replacement of the suspention. access is through the rear.
Any error codes? Pumps out OK?
Sounds to me as if the cold water inlet screen is plugged up, preventing rinse water from entering machine. Turn off the cold water to the machine and remove the cold water supply hose. Check the screen inside where the hose came off the machine. Run some water out the hose into the drain or a bucket before reconnecting to machine. Let me know if you still have problems.
It is best to re-install the four shipping bolts in the back of the machine during the move. If you don't have them, contact a dealer. Please don't rate, as anything but a Fix-Ya lowers my score. Thanks.
sounds like the motor or clutch unit could be the problem I would for sure call in the warrente shop to fix it as if its the motor thats expensive!! good luck
