    Thanks,

I did this but the TV is stuck on channel 3. It says its changing channels but its channel #3. I read about someone else who had this problem and the solution was to reset Guide Plus. So Im stuck on what to do.

Thank you for all your help but somehow my mom came up with the wrong Model number. The model number for our tv is P60920BL. I hope this doesnt affect any solutions you have for me. On our TV there is no Factory setting or empty cap. I did unplug it and let it be and still the same problem it wont allow me to start Guide Plus+ setup. If you have any more ideas please let me know. If not thank you for your time and effort.

    Thanks

  • nickge36 Feb 18, 2009

Also, do you know if there is any way to remove the Guide Plus+ system that would help with the problem?

    Thanks

RCA Projection P52937SG Continually changes channels and wont respond to controller

This is an older set but I have two questions:

Is the set actually changing channels up or down or are the number for the channel doing that while set remains on same channel?

Two possible problems, some of these also had the Guide Plus Logo on the front of the set.

If I know which issue you have I can help.

Main setup menu froze on screen unable to remove, also TV just stays on have to unplug from outlet. Press Rest button, and home button on remote nothing happens. Do have background channel TV from cox cable...

If the model number posted here is correct (vs-70707) this is a VZ8 Chassis made around 2000 and should NOT have a reset button on the front.

Please confirm actual model number.

Note: almost all Mitsubishi sets have a hidden menu (two or more) and one allows with the Mitsubishi remote to enter for example the OPTION menu and there you will be able to do a HARD RESET on the set which sets ALL settings back to default.

Where is the auto convergence button

Hello
From it menu option, suf through and come to automatic convergence display option and press Ok button on the remote control.

The List & Labels part of the setup lets you edit your channel list and choose or create a

personal six-character label for each channel.

Note: Changing List and Labels can be time consuming. You can change these at a later time by accessing the

Setup menu.

1. Press the left or right arrow to scroll through the available channels and choose the

channel you want to edit.

2. Press the down arrow to highlight the In channel list option. Press the left or right arrow

button to add (the box is checked) or remove (the box is unchecked) the channel from the

list.

3. Press the down arrow to highlight the Channel label option. Press the left or right arrow

button to scroll through the available list of 25 most common labels. The last option in

the list allows you to create your own six-character label for the channel (the first letter of

the label is highlighted).

4. Press the 1 or 2 number button to change the first letter of the label.

5. Press the right arrow to highlight the second letter, then press the 1 or 2 number button

to change the second letter, etc...

6. When you are finished creating your label, press OK. For model D34W20, your TV tunes to

the last channel available in your channel list. For models D40W20 and D52W20 only, the
Auto Convergence menu appears next.

Auto Convergence (for models D40W20 and D52W20 only)

Your TV's picture tubes might have been disturbed during delivery or after you moved the TV,

causing the color in your TV to be out of alignment. The colors adjust by starting auto

convergence.

1. Press OK to begin auto convergence.

2. When the auto convergence is complete, the Red center convergence menu appears. The

cross in the middle of the screen should be yellow. If it is not, use the arrow buttons to

move the red cross to overlap the green cross. Press OK when adjustments are complete.

3. The Blue center convergence menu appears with a cyan cross in the middle of the screen. If

it is not, use the arrow buttons to move the blue cross to overlap the green cross. Press OK
(the TV tunes to the last available channel in the channel list).

Channel wont change. the numbers change but the picture remains the same. always on channel 3. help

Look to see if "GUIDE PLUS" logo is on front of set, if so it is your problem.

Go into customer menu and setup for Guide Plus and enter area code 99999 and when it asks if you have cable box or vcr answer/select NO, the guide plus is your problem.

Try and if this resolved your problem rate this solution as VERY HELPFUL as I do this here for free.

RCA channel setup and selection is not easy to understand. You may try to add channel 3 on the add/remove channel section. If that doesn't work try pressing the input button. Good Luck.

RCA Home Theater Premiere 36" TV comes on automatically

Only two possible reasons I can think of for this--

ONE: you have looked in the customer menu and there is no item listed as Timer?

TWO: Does THIS SET HAVE THE GUIDE PLUS LOGO ON THE FRONT OF THE SET? IF IT HAS THE GUIDE PLUS--YOU WILL FIND IT IN THE MENU ALSO---

LET me know if it has the guide plus feature and I can tell you how to end the problem--most of these the set will come on at the same odd time and usually with volume up high.

RCA F13137--Have direct connection from cable (basic only) to TV. Autoprogram only finds 16 channels. Same set up with another TV in same jack finds 75 channels.

Make sure to check in the guide plus setup for the question "Do you have cable?" and answer it yes. Be sure that you answer the question "Do you have a cable box?" NO. It sounds like it is in antenna mode. Thanks

Using RCA P61939 without Guide Plus

Guide plus still works even if you don't have the wand hooked up. In the setup section of the guide plus there are several questions that must be answered properly or it won't function as you would like. It maybe labeled as options as well. Thanks
