DRYER RACK DOES NOT DRY CLOTHES

WHEN WE USE THE DRYER RACK IN OUR SAMSUNG DRYER THE DRYER OPERATES BUT SHUTS OFF WAY BEFORE CLOTHES ARE DRY.  IN FACT IT SEEMS THERE IS NO HEAT.  THE DRYER WORKS FINE WITHOUT THE DRYER RACK.

Possibly your moisture sensor thinks that the clothes are already dry when you use the rack because it doesn't sense the moisture. Try to run the dryer on a timed cycle or a cycle that runs without the moisture sensor. Check for heat immediately after starting in this cycle to see if it could be amoisture sensor problem. Techs for the dryer may be able to give you a different solution but I would try a different or correct type of cycle for using this rack.

Try timed dry cycle instead of the auto-sensing setting. In your drum if you have auto dry such as less dry normal dry and more dry, There is a sensor sometimes in the drum and sometimes in the exhaust right after the blower. If in the drum then your clothes brush by this and if moisture is sensed then it keeps on drying. With your rack the clothes can't touch the sensor so it tells your dial to turn and that items are dry which in fact are not. Try this and see how it does.

Dryer works OK on timed dry but doesn't dry the clothes in Auto dry.

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum 9 this is why in some cases the dryer will operate at lower cycles like gentle or low heat but not at higher settings?)

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

When put in sensor dry setting, dryer shuts off in a few minutes before clothes are dry

I'd suggest the dryer "sensor thinks" the clothes are dry, or uses a diffenernt standard, or it's bad. I'd revert to the tried and true method of "time".

Why dryer shuts off too early on auto

The sensor detects the moisture content of the clothes, If the clothing is packed tightly some of the clothes in the middle of the pile might not dry completely, if the clothes on the outside near the drum have low enough moisture. If you have a position on the control for dryer clothes or a more dry position try using that or use timed dry.

Displays code E4A , clothes will not dry

Hi Alicia Rosa - Typically it indicates a faulty issue with the timeout program. Contact a professional to move forward accurately. Technician will check for anything that would cause extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closet with solid door, bad connection in moisture sensor bar circuit or dirty bars. If dryer operates normally after it has be diagnose and code returns, the main control will possibly need replacing.

Shuts off during autodry cycle. stays on during timed cycle but clothes are wrinkled ans too hot at end of cycle.

if it works on auto but not on time you have a bad timer,it's not counting down,it's better to use auto anyway, when the clothes dry the dryer shuts off on it's own, this way your not using extra electricity,if your clothes dry in 30 minutes and it's on 60 minutes it will still run after the clothes are dry on auto it doesn't.if you open the door and look around the opening you'll see a tag with the model number, your missing a couple of letters on the model number.
