Question about Dell A960 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have an HP laptop with Windows Vista -- an installed the Vista driver from the Dell website for my A960 AIO printer. When printing from any software, I get the message "Job Status Window Interface has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I then click on the "Close Program" button but nothing happens except the error window goes away. The page prints OK and the program does not close. Pages print just fine from Internet Explorer 7.0 without getting an error message. What's the solution to the problem?
The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.
There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.
