Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player
So i was at the gym and as i was getting off the treadmill i dropped my zune now this has happened before and all was well but today i noticed on my way out that the lock was not moving i got it to move but the device buttons are still not working. i plugged it in to my charger and it turned on as it was charging but the lock sign was still on. i tried moving the button a 100 times but still no luck. any ideas as to what to try to unlock this thing?
Are you technically inclined? Nerves of steel, and great eyesight?
This webpage has details to open up your Zune. Up to Step Four (and Picture 4) ONLY! Picture 4 shows the spot where the Lock switch is, right below the upper arrow on the left side. Push the lock switch *away* from the headphone jack. Re-assemble.
!!! Operate at your own risk. Do not imbibe before picking up screwdriver. Do Not Trust Me as I have never opened my 30 gig Ever!!!
The pics & info look *fairly* straightforward, tho'.
