Question about HP Compaq Presario M2010US Notebook
The display was working fine and suddenly the images were barely seeable. After a couple of weeks, the screen went completly black. Can anyone help me?
I understand that your Notebook is not showing the display lights. To isolate the issue please do the following troubleshooting steps.
1) Check the display with external monitor. If the external monitor is showing the display then the problem is with the LCD screen. If the external monitor is not showing the display then the problem is with the display card.
2) If you have any torch light or a cell phone , try focusing the light on the LCD screen after the Notebook is powered on and check whether you are able to see the texts and images on the LCD. If you are able to see the images and texts then it is the problem of the LCD back-lights. The lights which glow at the back of the LCD panel are not working.
If your Notebook is under warranty HP will repair it free of cost.
