Question about Toshiba 61H70 61" Rear Projection Television
I've had this TV for about 4 years, but very light usage. I noticed the other day that it has a Green hue to the picture. I tried to adjust the Tint with no change.
anyone know what this is?
As TVs age, the rate at which the CRTs begin to decline in terms of light output increases. If you go into the customer menu and adjust the color setting to zero. ( no color) observe the image. Is it good gray scale? Or, is the image still green tinted? If so, its definitely a problem with the CRTs( picture tubes) You may need to just re-adjust the screen settings for the CRTs or it may be more serious, a CRT may be bad. Replacing the CRT is a job for an expert and will cost $500-700.
