Question about Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD Car DVD Player

The video wont work but the audio work perfectly fine.

The screen reads that is illegal to watch videos while driving. and i would like to know whats the problem?how can i fix it?

The reason your seeing that message is because there is a wire on the head unit that needs to be connected to the parking brake switch on your car. the wire your looking for is a light green color that needs to be spliced into the positive side of the parking brake switch. once you hook that wire up the video portion of the head unit will work but you have to have the car in park with the parking brake applied. if you comment back with the make and model of car your driving i might be able to tell you where the parking brake switch is and what color wire to splice the light green wire into.

    i have installed a override switch and it says check the owners manual why is it still sayin that do i need to do something with the display screen and or something else i am lost please help me
