My whirlpool ultracare !! dryer will not heat. I have to dry things over and oer and over til they finally dry.

i looked up your model number and that's to a washer not a dryer.if it's a gas dryer it sounds like you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve.the coils work until they heat up like in the first 15 to 30 minutes and they shut down, when they cool they work again until they heat up and fail, this is why you have to keep running thedryer, one more problem could be the dryer needs to be cleaned out.clean out the vent line, clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and vac out the cabinet where the motor is

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II: No heat

didc, on a gas dryer, if the thermal fuse blows it will still rotate, but will not heat. Since this is a gas dryer, see if the ignitor is glowing. If it is, then you know the thermal fuse is good. If not, the thermal fuse may be blown or the ignitor itself and thus the reason for no heat. Catriver.7152136.jpg
