It sounds like you have a factory amp in the vehicle. Check behind the radio to see if you have the blue wire from the deck hooked up to anything. You probably do. So take the blue with white stripe wire coming from the deck and hook that up instead of the solid blue wire.

Pre amp to amp

Pre-amps don't put out 750 watts. They put out about 1 volt at several thousandths of a watt. I think you are calling a 750 watt amplifier a pre-amp, and that ****** will definitely fry things.

Get the right cables and plug them in. Pre-amp to mixer to amp. Radio Shack is a good place to buy the wires with proper ends on them.

Phase linear uv8 parking brake problem

for the uv8 to bypass the parking brake to watch dvds you have to take the pink wire and put one end to one of the screws on a two screw toggle switch connect the other end of the pink wire to the other screw and connect that to the black ground wire

It should have a blue wire from the harness on the back of the player for turning on the amp, it may also be labeled "antenna" or "power antenna" or "P con". That is the one to run to the remote turn on of the amp.

There is a pink wire that goes to the parking brake. It connects to the ground wire on the parking brake that makes the brake light come on the instrument panel.

connect the pink wire on your stereo to a frame ground.
