Question about Bissell 3594 CleanView PowerTrak Bagless Upright Vacuum

Bissel model 3594 has weak suction

Hi everyone -- my Bissell 3594 (bought about 7 years ago) currently has a weak suction. I've been researching through the internet but haven't found a same/similar problem & solution.

Any help would be appreciate. Besides the weak suction, everything else still runs fine. (Maybe it's just about time and it's better just to get a new one...?)

Thanks!
Matthew

Oh - some other info.. I've went through the manual and followed instructions to clean the pre-/post-filters, dirt containers, upper tank, etc. but the suction is still weak...

The Bissell CleanView vacuum cleaner I have seems like it hasn't picked up dirt the way it should in so long, I can't remember when it has. I've been having to use the hose to pick up dirt, which makes the job of vacuuming much harder and takes alot more energy. Any suggestions?

Bissel 3594-1 release lever

Flip over the vac and use a long skinny screwdriver to spread the tabs that capture the two nubs on either side of the lever then pull the old part out. Then simply align the new part, and press it down into the slot till it clicks in place.

That is the problem with a bagless, but if you keep the filters clean it won't be quite as dusty.

Brush belt is very weak.

Brush Belt broken or disconnected. Very weak belt. Colossal engineering mistake by Bissell. Belt itself and its components are under way to much stress for the size they developed to perform their task. For Quality Control to let such an obvious blunder pass can only mean that it was intentional for reasons, Im sure, beneficial to Bissell and costly for the consumer. No telling how many people buy another entire machine when this rubberband of a belt breaks like it was intended. Bissell is not a consideration of myself or anyone I can enlighten.

Bissell Model 3593-2 Upright purchased 3 years ago not drawing up dirt as it use to

Check where there is suction...is there good suction at the hose...at the back of the vacuum. Knowing where there is good suction will help you know where there might be a clog or any resistance. Bissell also has a fairly good customer support line...I believe the phone number might be on the vaccuum possibly in the back.
