Re: Need Support for Acer emachine e520-2496 Linpus Linux
I bought one 5 months ago. The e520-2496 has no pre-installed software hence the low price. my included dvd didn't do anything either. I bought a Linux Fedora 10 installation DVD from www.osdisc.com for 5 bucks. this made it very easy the dvd was recognized immediately and has self expanatory instructions. Or go to www.fedoraproject.org and download it for free and burn it to a dvd. If you hold down the Ctrl key with the DVD in it should load it. Or check www.linpus.com but it is no help. I eventually installed linpus desktop from thier website and have a dual boot with Linpus and Fedora 10. The Linpus is no good with no wi-fi or support I do not recommend it. The Fedora 10 has excellent wi-fi and tons of support, forums, and updates. Or gooogle "linux OS" and choose from dozens of free or cheap Linux systems. If you go with Fedora 10 just make sure you buy a 64 bit version. The e520 has a 64 bit celeron M processor. P.S. don't mess around when your in root if you don't know what your doing and, always type in "exit" when done. I am new to this also but learning fast. hope this helps.

back at the songs that you have saved me my music folder subfolder I Tunes. This is a very important point to remember because you do not do this you will not be able to restore your old music when you reinstall iTunes.Code to the young install feature for the operating system that you are using, usually control panel/programs and features/iTunesonce you have removed the program and restart your system.when the system restarts a folder that you backed up containing all your songs back to my music/iTunesthen reinstall iTunes, opened it and your tunes should be there ready to use. Please remember to back up your songs before you try this. The folder that holds iTunes is usually users/username/my music/iTunes I hope this helpsRegards
The latest Broderbond Family Tree Maker is version 2010. The files are arranged in an international agreed format so you should not encounter any problems. You can also Export you Data in the GEDCOM format to interact with other programes.

"My Computer" is the only way to access it. Not sure why they set it up that way, but they did. Right click it and create shortcut that you can drag to desktop. The camera also does not come with software. It uses windows native control for it. If you you were able to screw up the design of a 300.00 laptop.....they did it with that camera.
