Question about Numark Pro TT-2 Turntable
I've had a pair of PRO TT2s for about 6 or 7 years now and they've always been great. However, recently the pitch control seems to have no effect (although the platter turns as normal). All throughout the range, the pitch remains at zero (actually slightly faster than would be when quartz locked). I can hear a small difference when I bring the control to the center (going into quartz locked mode?), but there is no significant difference in platter speed. I am proficient enough at soldering that I can replace the broken components on the board (except for the surface mount stuff), but I don't know where to get the components and I can't find parts lists, wiring diagrams, or a service manual. As well, I'm not sure how to diagnose the broken component (i.e. is there a way to test if the pitch control slider is working properly with a multimeter?). Any information you could provide would be a great help, especially a parts list or a set of circuit diagrams for the TT2s. Thanks for your time.
