Actually that is quite a rare case on today's modern digital flat panel TV's. You're not saying where you live, and you're not saying if you have previous issues on older TV you had before digital, and (again) you're not even saying whether you're on a hill or deep into a gorge. No TV has ghosting these days, but if you're living in an area as above, go see the TV people and they will probably recommend a set top box. But that isn't really necessary if you have a modern flat screen TV because most of these TV do two things, they give you a crystal clear picture or they don't. Digital TVs have a channel searching system that does the searching for you, and, as the case may be, these only pick up the best channels that give the sharpest picture. Anything that is of poor reception they ignore, so you're actually missing all the channels available because of this ghosting issue. AN there is nothing to adjust on the ghosting, snowing and vertical or horizontal bars, etc. These issues are things from the past, e.g. old analog TV's.
If you are handy you can replace both the right and left side planer boards but it is a semi complicated job. The boards bought off market will only cost around 125 for the pair or less. Good Luck Ed Pinero
Unfortunately it looks like the power supply has failed, since the unit is new I would check into the return policy of the store you bought it from, if your lucky you can just exchange it. If not it will have to be shipped back to the manufacturer.which can be a hassle, you may have to pay the shipping to the repair facility.
Let me know how it goes and please rate this solution.

Using the Remote Control joy stick, scroll down to next page (see Figure 2) until LCD ADJUST is highlighted.

If the ghost adjustment is off with a lower value, there will be a ghost to the left of the square.
If the ghost adjustment is off with a higher value, there will be a ghost to the right of the square.
Once you get the square to look good without ghosts, press "SELECT" to save any data values that have been changed.
Press the "EXIT" button three times to return to normal picture.
Take the unit into the service center - have the service center diagnosed the problem - they will order the part - but the parts are not available - DONT WAIT - The manufacturer must exchanged the unit because the the manufacturer must provide the parts for up to 5 years by law after the the tv is manufactured. Have the service center provide you with a workorder stating the television is not repairable because the parts are not available - then call 800-726-4405 - they will start hte process to exchange the televsion - LONG PROCESS to get an exchanged television
