Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

1050c DESIGNJET REPLACE MAGENTA ISSUE

one of the first signs of a faulty power supply is a washed out display,
also you may hear a slight buzzing noise,
you may need to replace the ISS Pwb ( part of the tubes ) not order able separately,
it has been known that the connector block ( for ink Cart) does fail, I would try swapping it with another colours and see if the fault follws the connector block,
it may just be a bad chip on the ink cart.

During its warming up cycle, my Xerox Phaser 8560 stop before it can sent a text page and show ''printer error 09, 038, 46:1172'' on its display. Printer do not become operational at this...

Here's what the service manual has to say:

9,035.43 through 9,038 (8500/8550/8560 only): Ink count sensor flags are
stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41,
where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black.
Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out
Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The
sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.
Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This
can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using
8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick
count faults.

HP C6180 all in one printer My printer will not print light magenta and magenta, all the other colours are fine. Tried everything Any suggestions Thanks Paul

This problem seems to be with the printheads of the printer If magenta ink cartridge has enough ink inside it and if print heads are damaged then you need to replace this printer.....

But still if u want you can follow the below mentioned steps :

If it is not printing in light magenta and magenta than you can try the below mentioned steps :

Step 1 - First clean print heads from the menu of the printer. You can look for clean printhead option under printers menu - Tools - Clean Print Heads.
Now print and see if it is printing or not. If issue is not resolved then move on

Step 2 - Check if your magenta ink cartridge & Light magenta ink cartridge has ink in it or not...if it is empty or if has very low ink then.....
replace it with a new ink cartridge......and now it is going to aling the printer....While it aligns it is going to make noise and will show a message printer aligning or alignment in process.
While it aligns dont touch the keys of the printer or dont interrupt in between the process otherwise hardware of printer might get damaged and you have to replace the whole printer
...and just wait...till the printer display shows the regular menu...

Note : - * During Alignment printer is going to consume more ink, so make sure you have enough ink in all the cartridges or otherwise it does not have enough ink in it
alignment process will not be completed properly.

Steps 3 - If it prints an alignement page then it is ok, check if all the colours on the alignment page and if all the colours are fine then ur issue is resolved...
for verifying you can print another document.If it does not print any alignment page then you can try printing an alignment page from the printers manually from the printers menu.

Now if it has resolved the issue then it is fine or else last you can try re-setting the printer.

Re-Setting the printer :

- Press and hold the "*" key.
- Press the "#" key and release both keys.
- Display should say "Enter Special Key Combo" then release the keys and press "1", "2" and "3" buttons in sequence.
- then you will get few options, now look for an option that says System Information or System Menu
- Press "OK" on System menu and look for an option Semi full re-set
- Press "OK" Button.Now printer will shutdown automatically and will turn on automatically after few seconds..as it is going to align the printer..
- Now it will make noise for few minutes wait till then and when you see regular screen on display then print a document and see if issue is resolved or not.

If issue is not resolved then you need to replace the printer. If it is in warranty then contact Hp customer care and they will replace it for free.

HP Photosmart 3210xi - some colors (magentas) will not print

Remove the magenta cartridge, and try cleaning the head with alcohol, maybe with a small paint brush or an acid brush. It sounds like ink has dried and plugged up that head.

The lt magenta and magenta just quit printing between pages

1. Check if the cartriges are correctly installed:
Installing the Ink Cartridges

2. Print a diagnostic page and clean print heads, using the printer cleaning utility:
Color Mix or Missing Colors on the Diagnostic Page
Repeat if needed.

3. If this still doesn´t solve you problem, try resetting the printer and manually cleaning the cartrigdes as advised in this FAQ:
Ink Cartridge is Missing, Incorrectly Installed, or Not Intended for Your Device' Error Message is Displayed on the Printer

Magenta Ink cartridge is stuck in Xerox Phaser 8550/8560

09,03x

35 = Cyan
36 = Magenta
37 = Yellow
38 = Black

The error indicates an ink stick was jammed. You have to clear the ISC (ink stick count) error.

Turn off the printer.
Turn on the printer.
As soon as you see XEROX start moving across the display hold down the back and help buttons until you see "beginning service mode" on the display.
Release the buttons, it will now come up in the service mode.
Scroll down to the function menu, hit ok, scoll to clear isc fault, hit ok.
Hit the back button to get back to the first menu then exit diagnostics, hit ok when it asks if you want to restart in customer mode.

Color print quality

You can clean the head from the printer software or take it out and run some warm water over the ink ports/ink jets.

Are the ink tanks securely clicked in place? they can come loose easily

New Magenta Ink is not recognized after installed

Hi, it sounds that the issue can be caused by a defective ink cartridge that installed or a printhead that can recognize magenta ink cartridge. To identify which causes this issue please try the following:

1. Reseat ink cartridge
2. Replace ink cartridge with a specified ink cartridge for your printer.
3. If above steps wont resolved that issue, please call your printer manufacture and ask for service referral or process warranty options.

Not printing too well

Do use genuine brother ink for testing: If you're lucky the filter in front of the nozzles (which is part of the printhead) is not clogged. Do the power cleaning twice: power up. push menu then start mono then four times arrow up. machine will display maintenance. push arrow up several times til 7 is displayed then Enter then arrow up til 6 is displayed. Push Enter. push arrow up til 3 then Enter: P cleaning_all Push start/mono. After machine has finished maintenance will be displayed. push arrow up til 0 (zero) then enter then puh arrow up til 9. machine will print a test sheet. Repeat procedure above if no good result. After three times without success the printhead is clogged due to wrong ink. ...and do use dye-ink only for brother printers (pigmented ink will clog the filter!)
