Question about Creative Labs Creative Technology Zen MP3 Player
I'm not the most technologically savvy person in the world, so I have some dumb questions. The first is how do I change file names? Part of this is anal retentiveness and part of it is that I'm having difficulty finding songs. For example, I have AD/DC on my player and when I go under music library-->artists, one of the albums is listed under AC/DC and one is under AC. I also downloaded a song that was on one of the Now albums and I'd like it to be under the artists name, not Various. I've tried changing it in Windows Explorer, but that doesn't change it on my Zen.
I second question is how do I create playlists? I've done it before, but it seems like it always ends up adding every song from the album instead of the one I've selected. I'll remove the songs I don't want from the list, but the next time I start it up those songs are back on there. My playlists don't show up in Windows Explorer, so I can't change them that way. I looked at the manual online (I don't have the original ; bought it from a friend) and it's no help at all.
I follow the procedure for creating playlists from the downloaded maual, but my playlist becomes every song, instead of only the ones I selected. Also, when I change the song name in Windows, it doesn't translate over to the Zen. Very annoying, please help!
Changing the filename won't change to artist, title, album ext... The easiest way I know of to change this is with MediaMonkey, a free media player. Click the link and install and open Mediamonkey. Find your MP3 player on the left side to browse the music. Highlight the music that you want to change the artist for in your MP3 player, right click>Properties.
You can also create playlists with MediaMonkey.
