Question about Electrolux Ovens

Open Question

How do i get my electrolux oven model EPSO MMS out of auto mode?

Hi, I was given this oven and now cannot get it out of auto mode. I understand that you have to push 2 of the 4 buttons in to do this. The only 2 that seem to do anything are the 1st 2 .Once I stop holding them in the clock and auto mode start flashing again .As I don't have a user manual so any help would be appreciated . Also if anyone has a manual I would love a copy if atall possible .

Many thanks in advance
Louise .

Hi ,Sorry I put in wrong model number it is an Electrolux single builtin fan oven EPSO MSS (not MMS as I had put).

After many hours of trawling the net I managed without help to sort this :)

It seems that pushing in the first 2 button whilst turning the wee timer knob worked to get it out of auto mode.

Also have now managed to find copy of manual online , although their answer to this is to press the 4th button ( which didn't work in fixing it atall ) I've added where you can find this manual for anyone who needs it .

http://www.serviceforce.co.uk/pdf_search... then in product number code (which I found on top of oven ) 949711039 this will open a pdf manual for you .

Cheers from one happy lady ,

    Louise .

SOURCE: Kleenmaid Scala Oven. My oven will not turn on.

I had exactly the same problem. I followed the directions to reset the clock. That is the cooking button and finish cooking button. They look like a caserole dish and a casserole dish with a cross through it. Hold them down at the same time and the + and - button to advance the time. Be aware I had to try this a few times before it worked. Hope this helps, Dean

Sometimes the timer display fades but still working in background, if all dead now then probably means you need new timer as ovens shouldn't work if clocks not set to manual mode.
Try turning oven on then messing with buttons, usually the 2 left buttons and one far right should do trick.. push 2 left first, keeping them pressed push far right!

Did self clean, cleaned it all up then I went to test it out, oven control panel says off on any button I push. The elements work on the stove top. Icheck the fuse, tried unplugging it for a period o

Pushing two buttons at the same time is a method worth trying. Maybe the timer button and the button next to it and while holding those two in, push the + or - buttons which would set the time and place it in manual mode rather than auto. Pushing a couple of buttons at the same time seems to be the approach on various devices

Electrolux oven wont work after cleaning

Hi ja1078063,

I understand you having trouble getting your oven to work after using the self-cleaning mode. Does any part of the oven work? Confirm a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc.
Does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed?
The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents most oven controls from being turned ON. Press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked.

Best Regards,

Westinghouse oven pof668 in auto mode - how do I get it out of auto mode (am renting this property). Oven and grill are not working as power was off until recently

Most models won't work when on Auto. Generally there are push buttons under the clock and one has a picture of a hand (Like a cop holding up his hand to say "Stop"). Press this button and it should go back to manual mode and allow you to use the oven.

What I have said so far is pretty much a guess, based upon experience. I'm also guessing that you don't have a manual to refer to either. However, w
hile I can't find the specific manual for your model, there is a westinghouse oven manual here:

http://manuals.appliancesonline.com.au/westinghouse-dualfuel-ovens/westinghouse_duelfuel_ovens_manual.pdf

and I would bet that the clock setting instructions on page 18 are exactly the same for your appliance!

I bought a house with a Defy Gemini Petite Chef oven but it is not working. The oven flicker on Auto. How can I delete the Auto?

Most models won't work when on Auto. There are push buttons under the clock and one has a picture of a hand (Like a cop holding up his hand to say "Stop"). From left to right numbering the buttons 1-6, this is button 4 on your appliance. Press this button and it should go back to manual mode and allow you to use the oven.
You can download a manual for this appliance from here:

Or google " Gemini Petite Chef manual " and the first hit has the link

We cannot turn the oven on! No instruction manual. The 'A' is flashing on the 'clock'/timer - what does this mean?

This means it is in auto mode. It must be in manual mode for the oven to work. Turn the oven to ON. Some clocks have 2 or 3 buttons. Press the buttons at the same time/try all different combinations. This might take a few minutes, be patient. When the oven indicator lights the clock is in manual mode.

Auto keeps flashing on oven display. pressing hand sign wont turn it off.what to do?

Most clocks/timers have 2 buttons. You need to push both buttons at the same time. This should take it off the auto. mode and back into manual mode.

Westinghouse oven GWH 476 SLP Multifunction. The pilot cones on but not igniting ? no gas getting through

Hi RMSINN,

Believe it or not, the clock has to be set before the oven will light.

To set the clock, instead of using function names for buttons, we'll just call them buttons 1 through 6 going from left to right.

Push buttons 1 and 2 at the same time. You're now in clock setting mode. Push buttons 5 and 6 to make the clock go minus and plus.
Cheers
