Turned on my laptop, which was working fine a few hours prior. Green light comes on showing power but screen remains blank...I plugged in electrical source, just in case but still nothing. Removed battery and nothing. Won't show a start-up screen or anything. Purchased in late October

Hook a spare monitor to the video output usually on the back, if okay! the inverter board just below the screen is most likely the problem, or the backlight behind the display. But if both show the same issue it is the video graphics card normally built into the motherboard.
After replug the graphic card and switch on the pc & install back the graphic ... The power button remains green but the screen is black. ... From what i have noticed there is probably some issue with the thermal cutout ... Lights light up, Drive sounds as if working,
it sounds like a deleted driver? try getting the driver for the monitor, did you loose the Operating system at some point, if so try a system restore to a date when the computer was working properlly prior to the malfunction. It sounds like it restored you to a time before the driver for that monitor was installed.
It's turns blue to power safe mode (yellow) it's prevent futher damaged to your monitor. It's seems you got a busted backlight inverter. Need to replaced a new one...Since you only got it for a few months, send it back to Acer for a replacement of a new backlight inverter... Have a nice day!
