Question about Dryers

Whirlpool Senseon Dryer-drum doesn't spin & stuck on sensing mode

2001 Whirlpool Senseon Dryer (Model GEX9868JQ0).

The dryer provides its 'Drying Status' which includes: Sensing, Wet, Damp, Drying/Cool Down. When the 'Start' button is pressed, the drying status remains on the 'Sensing' status. Meanwhile, the drum does not spin while in the 'Sensing' mode. The dryer has power but is not going to a drying status.

What could cause the dryer to remain in the 'Sensing' mode?
Why is the drum not spinning while in the 'Sensing' mode?

Why does my whirlpool senseon dryer start when i disconnect the thermistor wire but then shuts off after a minute?

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

Whirlpool Senseon dryer control panel won't work

Could you please explain the problem in depth for me? Not sure what you mean by the control panel not working. Is it getting power? Do you have lights on inside the dryer (if it is equipped with it)?

Dryer will not start

Check the following:
Is the power cord plugged in?
Has a fuse blown, or has circuit break er tripped?
Was a regular fuse used? Use a time-delay fuse.
Is the dryer door firmly closed?
Was the START button firmly pressed?
Is a cycle selected?

I have a whirlpool dryer model LER8857EQ2. Drying drum is heating up but not spinning. How do I access the drive mechanism to determine why not spinning?

you have to take the top of the dryer off so you can see the drum to see if the belt is broken or the motor is bad

WHIRLPOOL DRYER GGW9200LW1 My whirlpool GGW0200LW1 dryer stopped

Reach inside and try to turn the drum by hand, it should have some resistance, if it spins free, you may have a broken belt or it fell off. There is a switch on many dryer that is attatched to the motor. If the belt breaks it triggers the switch which disables the motor and heater on the dryer. Also double check that model #, Im not finding anything under that #. thanks Dave www.washermd.com

Clothing cord stuck in drum

You should be able to get the draw string completely out by trying to open the top of the dryer which may be hinged. The front of the dryer may open by prying at the front between the top and the front.
Depending on your model there should be some means of getting into the dryer to examine what is doing it. Just make sure you SHUT OFF THE POWER OR PULL THE PLUG BEFORE WORKING ON IT. SAFETY FIRST!
