Question about Sharp AR-M550N Copier

When trying to scan to the network, getting "network error"

The network error only comes up when we try to send to a particular user, but sending to other users works just fine. everything was fine till last thursday, when this particular user was no longer able to receive the scanned images.. i'm guessing its an addressing issue, but i cant figure out how to get to the settings to compare a working one against this non working one.

First of all let me ask you a question. Are you using desktop 3.2 to scan to the computer?. I have been setting up network scan for the last 5 five years. I believe that the ip address of the user has been changed after the computer was restarted. Do the following to solve the problem.
Step one, open command prompt and type ipconfig hit enter.
step two, on your web browser type the ip address of the copier
step three, log in on the web page which is admin and the password is Sharp. Click on destination and select the user with a problem check the ip address and input the new ip address click on submit. Now try scanning it should work. This is very common.

If everyone but this computer works, sounds like there may be a problem with the software on that computer. I would first uninstall and then reinstall the drivers for your copier on that computer...

To fix this error is much easier than it looks. Unplug the printer power. Move the ink cartridge cradle to the left. Over to the right you will see a small pad about 1cm square. This pad and the area around should be covered with ink. Get a cloth and press down on this pad - it's not fixed so should come away with the cloth, otherwise use tweezers gently. Squeeze the pad several times between your thumb and forefinger while inside the microfibre cloth to remove ink build up. Then when not much ink comes out on the cloth, clean the area in the printer around the pad so that looks free from ink too. Then position the pad back in place, move the cradle back into position, plug in and switch on - should work fine now.

My Dell 3115cn printer will not connect to the network (it still works on USB cable), hard to believe it's broken, so can the printer system be reset?


Try turning off the printer and disconnecting power plug from wall. Hold power on button for about a minute. Then replug unit and turn power on - it should then attempt to hook up to your existing network.

If no go, try reinstalling the software that initially came with printer and was used to set up the network

HOW DO I un-lock the scanner on a Brother MFC 7420?


Unfortunately, the MFC-7420 doesn't have a physical lock switch. You need to turn off the all-in-one and wait for the unit to clear its memory. If the error recurs after you press the power button again, wait 30 minutes and try again. (Note: you will lose any faxes that are in memory. See the User Guide page 11-5 to save this information.) You can find the manual on the Brother support page for the MFC-7420: https://www.brother-usa.com/support/ModelInfo.aspx?R3ModelID=MFC7420 . Click on the Manuals & Documents tab. Then click on the Manuals on our Online Solution Center for the English version of the manual. You can also try unplugging the all-in-one for several minutes to reset the error codes. If the error persists, contact Brother if the MFC-7420 is still under warranty (1 year). If it isn't under warranty, consider replacing the unit. The repair costs may be unreasonable.

Dear
Its related to the fixing temp. do the error clear on service mode. then check the fixing film assy. heater circuit contact points for corrosion. Replace it.

LSU error SAMSUNG SCX 4725FN


Laser Scanner Unit or LSU is what writes to the surface of the drum. The glass above the cartridge in the machine may be dirty. The mirror motor in the LSU could be bad or needs to be cleaned to spin better. The Laser diode may be faulty.

This is not a user-serviceable issue. You will need to contact Samsung for a service. You can do it online via Samsung website or contact the vendor to see who will they appoint to service the printer to, especially if it is still under warranty.

My fax wont work in my ricoh aficio 1515 mf??


Using the 1515 as a fax machine is a pretty simple procedure if everything works right. All you have to do is hook a working phone line up to the phone jack on the back of the copier (the one labeled LINE, not TEL).

Why won't the fax work? If it is giving you an error message, what is the message?

If you are not getting a dial tone when faxing, unplug the fax from the phone line and plug a working phone in, and see if the phone gets a dial tone. If it doesn't, there is a problem with your phone line.

You can also try plugging the fax machine into another phone line. If the fax works on that line, then there may be a problem with the first line.

Are you having problems sending faxes or receiving them, or both?
