I think your batch's thickness is high. so that when you are keeping your batch on the scanner then your cover will be not covering properly. so that the external light will be passing through the gap between scanner and cover. so that your scanning is showing black. if you want to scan your batch, then you have to cover by plane paper around your batch on the scanner. otherwise you try to protect out side light on the scanner glass. now you can get proper scaning.

Hi Smitha

Look its due to settings only. Hence check to make sure the default paper size choosen by you is A4 and not legal. Because that ever the size you provide it scans to it. If still problem persist the try to email me the correct model number on the printer.

My HP 6280 will not print the full picture after it has been scanned. I put it in the right hand corner, chose the correct paper size and it still won't print correctly. Can you please help

Check corner marking for placing the document, place the document & scan through system, verify whether you got full scanned image? if not adjust the placement in correct position, once its OK, go for print there select correct image size(could be 100%) & paper size..I hope it will solve the issue..Best of luck

Just got a HPf350 all in one and trying to scan, but it seems like it is not doing anything. Shouldn't I see my scanned image on my monitor? Cindy

Mine doesn't,but it will ask for a title and destination. Then show the file afterward in the folder you specified. It will be highlighted and if you pick it you will be able to see and edit your scanned image.
There are many ways to scan;Hp Solution center,Hp Photosmart Premiere,Scan button(on printer),Control Panel-Printers and other hardware-then Scanners and Cameras. Then follow the Prompts. If your still having problems, restart the printer and retry the Scan.If your still having issues, repost and we'll walk you thru.

HP 5610 scanner won't save image

I just need to understand the exact issue. It sounds like you are able to successfully scan, see the preview of the scanned image, and you initially save it. Then, when you go to open the saved image, you don't see the image you scanned but rather a "line". You've saved the image in a number of different image formats, but there's no difference in the result. It saves the scanned image to the location you want to save it on your computer's hard drive (probably My Pictures if you're using a Windows operating system).

Not sure what you mean by a "line". Do you mean a vertical line, a horizontal line, a diagonal line or what? Also, is it just a solid black line on a white background? Is it the image you scanned compressed into a smaller vertical or horizontal space?

Have to tried scanning both text pages and graphic pages? There have been issues where a document with both text and pictures has been scanned but when the scanned image is viewed, only the text appears. The pictures don't make it. The description of this specific problem is at HP.com.

I take it you don't get any sort of error message associated with this problem. Unfortunately, I can't find your specific problem at HP.com beyond the link I posted in the above paragraph. If you can answer some of the questions I asked, it might help me provide a better solution.

Thanks.

Problems

If the All-In-One Software is Sucessfully installed, then you should have a icon or in Start all Programs you will see HP Solution Center.
Open solution center and try scanning from there either scan picture or scan document and follow the on screen instructions.
And thescanned image will be store in MY Documents there will be a folder as My Scan and under my Scan for each month there will be a floder you will find the scanned image there.

Good Luck

Lines when scanned

The common solution on this sight to this problem on any copier seemed to be simply clean the glass. I first cleaned the glass on the bed...no help. Then I lifted the feeder and discovered a portion of the glass under that as well. Once it was cleaned the lines disappeared!

I saved $$ on a useless service call for a simple, easy to fix problem thanks to this site!

Scanned documents are very light

I have found that when scanning b/w documents, its helpful to start with a black and white copy, not a grayscale, pen written, or printed form a printer in grayscale mode copy, but a true black and white on the copier or fax copy. The scanner doesnt read shades of black so well and when scanning multiple page documents, my pixma tends to scan in lightly. I havent found a piece of software to do just this, batch darken what has been scanned (at least not for free). Copying before scanning is the work around. Hope this helps everyone who's had this problem. It also doesnt hurt to darken what your scanning down a notch when copying
