Question about Acer AL1914B Black 19 in LCD Monitor
When I turn on my computer I can see the normal boot screen for a few
seconds then it turns black with the green light still on. After that I
can see the windows logo with the loading bar, and again it turns black
with the green light still on. Then it finally goes to the log in or
"welcome" screen, but it goes black with the green light still on
before I get a chance to log in.
I tried using a different monitor (Acer AL 1717) and it worked just fine. I never had any problems with my 1914 prior to starting my computer with the system restore disk. Is there any possible way to fix my monitor without getting it serviced?
It sounds like a deleted driver? try getting the driver for the monitor, did you loose the Operating system at some point, if so try a system restore to a date when the computer was working properlly prior to the malfunction. It sounds like it restored you to a time before the driver for that monitor was installed.
