This was successfully acheived by opening Windows Mobile Device Center first from the Start Menu, then connecting the smart phone while the WMDC was still open. All the previous attempts I was expecting WMDC to open automatically when I connected the JasJam.
Hi. You can hard reset your device by pressing the left and right upper softkeys at the same time, and while pressing them press the reset hole with the stylus. Don't forget to get a backup of all your data since a hard reset will erase your data. Hope this helps.
You may connect your Imate to your pc or laptop by using USB cable. But you have to install first to your laptop or pc the Activesync for you to access and sync your pda. You may download the Activesync HERE
Did you find a solution to this problem? I have just bought an I-Mate PDA2 and within 4 days the touch screen has stopped responding, but like your, the scroll wheel and buttons still work. I have tried the full reset and now I am left stuck on the initial set up screen. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
There are many possibilities. This forum has got a lot of info on HTC phones and Jasjam is made by HTC. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303872 Hope it helps and sorry I can not be more specific as the issue is hardware related but to pinpoint the fault I need to have the phone on my workbench .
