We have a Cell-Dyn 1800 machine - The screen is blank and the keys aren't working but the machine itself is on. Could the machine have been locked out somehow? We've powered it on and off to try and do a hard reset but nothing changes. Are there any other tips or tricks someone can give us? Thanks so much!

Hi, Turn off the computer and open the side cover by removing two screws. If you have a video card remove it and clean the connectors with alcohol and also the memory card connectors. Re install it and install it back the side cover and turn the power that should work for you. Get back to us if this information helps you solve the problem. Good day...

Gateway pc gt5468 fan blows but monitor is blank

Try a know working monitor. Make sure it is plugged in, the power is on and the cable is connected to the computer. If you still get a blank screen on a known working monitor, your video may be defective, if the video is on board, you can buy a video card and see if that resolves your issue. You can go and look what type of video card is supported by your machine, www.gateway.com or www.acer.com. I hope this helps. Good luck and have a nice day.

Blank screen; Unresponsive computer, & three beeps in succession

2 short beeps and 1 long beep (repeats 5 times) = Unable to initialize video or video card required but not installed. Sounds like the card may have gone down

Blank Screen

First, confirm that it is the screen itself. Connect the video output to a known working monitor and then power on your Thinkpad. if the known working monitor behaves the same way you can rule out the laptop's monitor as the source of the problem. This may be the BGA, Ball Grid Assembly, leadless soldering problem related to video chips on the motherboard, but first test the monitors.

I ended up calling Motorola who suggested I unplug the power cord from the machine for 10-30 minutes. When I powered back up, I had to give the machine time to reboot but after about 10 minutes with power on I was able to access my recorded shows.

Most likely your video card is broken. To check if the motherboard isnt broken either, I would suggest you test usb, sound, and other features of the motherboard.
If your motherboard isnt broken then you have to buy a "pci-e graphics card" at your local store. Shouldnt cost much, about $40-70. Hope that helps.
