I'm considering buying a Kenko KUT-300 Hi telephoto converter for my Olympus
C3020Z. The inside of the teleconverter has 37mm threads, and I'm wondering
if this will restrict the permanent olympus lens. Has anyone had any
experience with this combination? Or at all with the Kenko teleconverter?
Thanks, Jerry

Understood.
I run into a strange problem using the Olympus lens tube a 43 ring and a B&W Haze Filter (or any other filter for that matter) where when
using the flash there is obstruction in the lower left corner when fully
wide. As the lens 'zooms' the obstruction goes away and it doesn't happen
without the flash.
I understand you will not be using a flash with a telephoto converter but
there is the unexpected.
I'm also looking for a telephoto converter.
Have you tried this place; # ?
I don't think its a problem since the actually Olympus lens is around 32mm,
I believe.
Also MANY of the teleconverters are built like this. The ones that aren't
seem to be limited to 2X.
Let me tell you, 2X and even 3X isn't very much. I'm considering the
KUT-500. Its a 5X converter but its very LARGE. Not too much of an issue
since its a limited use lens but its sort of stupidly large for its power.

Well, the teleconverter certainly has a 46 to 37mm stepdown ring. I'm not
concerned with being able to put the converter onto my camera, I know I can
do this. What I'm concerned about is, will the stepdown to 37mm interfere
with the normal range(pixels seen)of the onboard lens of the C3020?????

The teleconverter MUST fin into a 46mm thread and you MUST have the Lens
tube AND the 43-46mm step-up ring so there is clearance. I tried a 43mm
teleconverter and it didn't fit!
