I just installed a Lifecam VX-1000. It installed easily and the picture is good. I was testing it with the software that came with it and when I play back a "capture", I see that the sound and picture are not in synch. It is not a whole lot, but enough to be noticeable.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Fecking top posters!!!!!!!

I have a new HP with 2gig and dual core. I noticed that the problem appears even while I am testing the camera alone. As I talk the picture slightly lags my lips.

I've never used one of these but I Googled Lifecam VX-1000 sync and found a few others with the same problem.
Without any information provided about your system capabilities and capacity its impossible to diagnose the problem.

When starting a call between my PC and my parents, their webcam appears to freeze on a single frame at my end of the connection. They can see me OK and things are OK and voice is OK too, just seems to freeze on a single frame within the first second or so of the call..... any ideas ? Windows Live messenger, latest release. XP at both ends SP3 on my PC and SP2 on the other. Video drivers are up to date and camera's are both Microsoft VX1000's brand new !
