After it fills the resivor tank and tries to refill resivor tank ittrips off the cirucit breaker (power to the copressor))I think maybe a starting capacitor. As you have two capacitors mounted on top of the tank. Can i still purchase the capcitors.

Capacitors are cheap. When this happened to mine I just replaced both due to the fact that I found out that when I replaced the first one. 2 days later the second one failed. So I would recommened both. But it is the one closer to the power supply. I am sorry I do not remember the number to tell you which one it is. The start capacitor is next to the power cord though

Apparently you have a start capacitor, which acts as a surge tank to allow motor to start up under a load. Its usually a black cylinder shaped object with two [2] prongs with a wire plugged onto each one [1]. It can be tested with proper equipment, but should be reasonable to buy.

Hi mcfadden21...

Check and clean or repair or replace your compressor's unloader valve.
The unloader valve is suppose to discharge the compressed air from the tops of the piston heads to the outside to make it easy for the compressor to start when the pressure in the tank drops to the starting point.

Air leaking from tank back into compessor is indication that in-tank check valve is leaking. This condition will stress motor when trying to start. Test : With air in tank, unplug compressor from outlet and remove hose from compressor at checkvalve and test for leak (soapy water). If leaking drain air and remove checkvalve. Examine checkvalve for debris under seat (resurface seat or replace valve). Parts are at Good luck

Compressor fills air tank and when it cycle to refill tank it kicks a 20 amp dedicated circuit breaker. Sears looked at it twice and said it is OK. Changed breaker with new one because Sears said it...

try this. When compressor shuts off. TURN OFF POWER. then spin the compressor backwards or forwards until it is off the compression stroke. Turn unit back on. If it doesn't blow the breaker, then it is worth looking into the type of compressor (pump) you have. Many have a "reed valve" and that might be failing, holding the compressor itself under load when it shuts off so that on restart it is under heavy load and the motor draws too many amps to get it started hence blowing the breaker anyway hope this helps

You may did not open the tank valve before you press fill key! please try as bellow:
Connect tank fill adapter to source tank & open tank valve then make the tank up side down, now press tank fill key. screen will change to checking source tank for 30/60 sec. then start filling.
If you try as above direction & still the problem exist,it may need to replace or rebuild tank fill solenoid.

My Neptune Top Load fills the water, the motor doesn't start.

If i understand correctly you are stating the breaker shut down which means the house breaker for the outlet power kicked out. You might try plugging something else into the outlet to see if it also kicks out, say a vacuum cleaner of a drill.

You need a amp clamp to test for something shorted or grounded (or ohm out windings) which requires trained do not want to get a shock

Fill tank

ok on the bottom left side( from the front) is a magnet in the water tank. Sometimes that gets stuck and the sensor wants you to fill.
it can also be that the machine needs to be primed
