First you're going to need a slim psp, if you have it then you just plug the cables to the right places. To play games on your tv you need a tv with progressive scan and component inputs.
go to setting and look for the system settings option then go down to the format memory stick and that should create you all the files.then connect the psp to your computer and check that the folders are made

First Tell me about your PSP firmware Version. If its a orginal SONY firmware you can't play the games from the memory stick. If you are in custom firmware follow this procedure.
1.press the SELECT button so you will get the M33 VSH MENU
CPU Clock XMB - Default CPU Clock GAME - Default USB Device - Memory Stick UMD ISO MODE - Sony NP9660 ISO VIDEO MOUNT - NONE
Make sure that its showing as per the above values. if not change it to the above values.
If still the problem continues check these too..
Go to the recovery menu.>>> configuration >>> Game folder homebrew (currently: 3.XX or 4.XX kernel)
if its showing 1.50 change it to 3.xx or 4.xx

Go to Recovery >> Advanced >> Advanced Configuration and make sure that both the options are Disabled.....
