Question about Samsung PN50A650 49.96 in. Plasma HDTV
My elderly father is disabled and lives for TV. He has two Samsung TV's side by side in a small living room. One is a few years old: DLP model HLP616WXIAA; the other is a brand new Plasma model PN50A650.
He has DISH satellite service and has two DISH remotes (one DISH receiver provides separate tuning for both TV's). The problem is that either DISH remote changes both TV's. I have tried reprogramming one of the remotes using the Samsung remote codes from the manual(s), hoping that one code might work for just one model and not the other. If a given code works at all, it still controls both TV's.
Any ideas, other than returning the new plasma and getting a non-Samsung brand for his second tv?
If possible turn one off and tune the other. Then turn the other off and tune it. Then turn on the other. That is your only option at this point.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
