Can you use all caps when texting
No star is not the shift key,,, the shift key is ZERO with the up arrow sign.
while texting, press ZERO once and then type your message... does this works ?

Yes. depending on where u are in the sentence u will either press the shift/star button about 1 or 2 times. u should be able to see when it changes somewhere near the text input box. it should go from (1)Abc to (2)ABC (if you are at the beginning of a sentence press the shift key once) (3)abc
