Question about Neoware EON 3000i (ba-eon3000i) Network Terminal

Open Question

How do I reset an unknown password for a Neo-EON 3000i

I can get up to the point of pressing F2 at the connection manager screen and I do not have a password to continue. Any help getting past this so I can do a factory restore would be appreciated.

How do i connect

first you must have an ISP Internet Service provider contract which will provide you with a modem and leads you can choose either a dial up usb or

an ethernet connection to connect to the internet or
if you have a laptop you can choose a wireless usb modem
which can work on a desktop aswell once you recieve the modem just insert the disk provided and follow the prompts to set up your new internet connection

during the setup process you will be asked for a password I suggest you make a log of all pass words used outside of your computer incase of memory lapses
if you already have an internet provider

you will have to open up your network connections

Problems with the default settings

I don't know that particular thin client workstation but from the sound of it. it's very similar to others I have worked with. I suspect that some configuration data has got corrupted. There is normally a way to reset the terminal to the factory default - I would suggest you try that & then set it up again. It's a nuisance but I often used to find that was the only way to deal with this kind of problem. To reset it this way: There is often a small button on the back of the device which you keep pressed in whilst powering it on; if not you'll need to check the manual.

Are you the original manager/owner of this machine? If you have forgotten your password, I could walk you through resetting it.
