Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
I can turn on my machine and it will start the cycle for about 5 to 10 seconds and then shut off.. it keeps doing this over and over what to do
It sounds like the motor control board is shot. Inspect the MCB for burnt components or a blown 10 amp fuse. This board is located down by the floor on the right side. See www.neptunehelp.com for disassembly pictures.
If you have a blown 10 amp fuse or there are burnt components then the MCB will need to be replaced along with the motor as Maytag has redesigned them to be more reliable. The new part number is 12002039, which is a motor conversion kit. It takes about an hour to install.
