I am trying to connect my ipod to a new computer and when i plug my ipod in it says something about firewall connections and will not let me do anything with it. i need to diable the firewall connections but am unsure how to do so. please help. thanks.
I am trying to connect to internet using HP minitower. All devices work correctly, Windows firewall is turned off. Diagnositcs say I can not connect due to a firewall. Other computers connect fine. How do I locate other firewalls on pc
As its HP im guessing you will have Nortons Anti Virus Running On The System, If You Left Click This For A Minute And Press Disable That Should Disable Your Firewall.
Also have you tryed to run itunes, as once that is installed your firewall should let you gain access to the Ipod

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
"iPod is disabled - Connect to iTunes" . This is because someone(or something?) has tried to crack your password too many times, which causes Iphone/Ipod to automatically disable itself to protect your data.
To restore your iPod, you must connect your iPod to iTunes with your iPod connector table. Make sure it is on and has this message when you connect it to your computer. Once connected, iTunes should detect it as usual.
Once connected, make sure you have all the proper sync settings enabled - for example, applications, music, photos, etc. Change something so that the Sync button in the bottom right appears in the iTunes window. Then sync the data.
When syncing is finished, turn on your iPod / iPhone and you should notice that the message is gone. Type in your password and the disabled message should be gone.
If the message is still there, try holding the sleep and home button at the same time until the iPod turns off, then continue holding the sleep and home button until a screen with the iTunes logo and a picture of the connector cable appears. This will put your iPod in Restore mode. With this option, you must click the Restore button in iTunes, which will delete all your data on the iPod.
