My systen is not recoganising the device

You could possibly have a corrup file or virus in your system. If your PC is virus free please connect the ipod and refresh. if not detected reinstall the drivers for the port you selected and try again. use a different usb port if you have one and refresh. Try this on another PC to confirm, if so there is sofware fault on the ipod. if not reinstall driver/ refresh you PC , then use the search window from the start key and search for all files in the ipod using an (*) in the search for files selecting the device to be searched. if you get the files, save them all to a folder and erase/format the device. I hope my adivce is helpful.Good day.

Is there driver/ software for Win ME for the Sansa Clip mp3?

a friend told me that if the device shows as"connected" when hooked up (it does) AND the battery charges correctly (it does), then (a)the USB connection had enough juice; and (b) the PC recognizes it - i just had to FIND it. device manager/ MyComputer: nada; same for ANY file/ folder with "sansa" or "sandisk." working thru WMP (Windows Media Player), however, I discovered that drive E - for a portable hard drive, NOT currently connected via USB - was STILL showing up in the "Copy to CD or device" field. sure enough, it was the SanDisk clip player (even though it was NOT under the "Recognized Portable Devices" subsection). without using the installation disk at all, it downloaded tunes just fine. *note: the installation disk seemed to be an .exe file ONLY for the Rhapsody music service. as noted above, it was unnecessary. also - my USB ports are 1.1 and not 2.0, and package stated USB 2.0 was a "minimum requirement" - not true*

Sansa c240 mp3 player not cooperating

I had the same problem. The easiest fix is to change the USB setting to MSC mode from the default is MTP mode. On some unit this is easier said then done because their is no USB setting option. I contacted Sandisk and they said that I needed to update the firmware. I found two solutions. First, try connecting to another computer. For some reason I was able to connect to my wife's laptop and was able to update the firmware. Second, manually forcing into MSC mode.
1. turn off the player
2. move hold switch to on (toward the record button)
3. hold rewind button (left side)
4. connect to computer while holding the rewind computer.

Hope this help.

Sansa e250 doesn't sync fully...

Have you tried to format your device using the windows media player?that will help also..if that doest help you might want to go to the sandisk website to make sure you get the latest firmware upgrade for your device..make sure you format the device inside WMP not through my computer...
