Your service tag will be on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop. It will be 6-8 characters long, probably on the same sticker as the model number or serial number. Thanks and please take a moment to give this solution a rating of fixya. :c)

The service tag is listed at least 3 places on a Dell Portable.

In Windows (If original factory image) Click start, Dell Accessories, Express Service Code, the Service tag is listed there.

It is also on a small sticker on the bottom of the system.

Last, it is listed in the system BIOS on almost all Dell Models (F2 at boot)

How do I enable my wireless? I have no switch on the front nor the side.

Give this a shot:

The Wi-FI light turns on when wireless networking is enabled. To enable or disable wireless networking, press and hold the blue <Fn> key and press the <F2> key. The <Fn> key is located on the lower left hand side of the keyboard.

Download dell inspiron 1520 sound driver software

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

I have drivers for dell xps m1330 my os windows xp motherboard intel 945 laptop

If what you need is the driver for your laptop. Go to http://support.dell.com and click on drivers. Once there it would ask you if you would like to search for drivers using the service tag or by choosing the model. It would be best to just enter the service tag. Your service tag would be located at the bottom of your laptop on a small dark gray sticker.

After vista reinstall, broadcom 802.11n network adapter code 10

There is a Service Tag on teh bottom of the latop. It will be on a white label. Have that handy and go to:

http://www.support.dell.com

Once there, go to Drivers and Downloads and enter the Service Tag. It will take you to the download page. Enter the OS and language and then scroll down to the Network section. Locate the driver(s) that you need. It would be a good idea to download the latest BIOS flash also.

After you have the files, flash the BIOS and then install the NIC drivers. It's a good idea to restart the computer after the installation.

Good luck, and please let me know how it goes, especially if you need more assistance.

Nominally you might get a more accurate answer by going to support.dell.com and entering the 'service tag' number (on the bottom of your machine next to the 'express service code'.

This machine also includes a field in the BIOS setup program; hit the F2 key when you see the Dell logo to start the BIOS setup program.
