Question about Navman iCN 330 GPS Receiver
Have a gps satnav Navman ICN720.
Couldn't find it's original charger and plugged in another one with the same voltage.
Since then, it will not power on anymore.
original charger's specs output 5V-2A DC
the charger I used output 4.5V-0.4A DC
Used the correct polarity I'm sure of it, checked it before plugged in.
Poss that the battery is totally dead, and therfore will not power up even when on ac or 12v charger lead. Often the battery is part of the circuit, and if the battery is dead rather than just weak or discharged, then the circuit is incomplete.
I posted on here how to remove the battery, you can get a replacement quite easily. Also would be an idea to search out a correct output charger, or maybe borrow one just to determine if the problem was with the battery rather than a blown unit.
