My computer was damaged by a virus so I decided to purchase a copy of Windows XP Pro and to do a complete reload. My current OS is the media version.
Before the attack I was at SP3 and had automatic updates.
So I started to reload but MS would not let me proceed because I had a version later than SP2. It suggested that I boot from the CD. Tried that - everything went well for a ferw moments and then it decided that I had no hard disc (despite the fact that it was loading drivers, etc.)! So everything stopped.

Hi pjhmulder Assuming MS Money 2001 and 2003 are compatible with W 7 , you could install MS Money 2003 on the new computer and copy the files from MS Money 2001 on the old computer to MS Money 2003 on the new computer . Make sure you don't erase the MS Money 2001 files before transfer has successfully been executed . Best regards , fanaudi .
