Turn the router off and wait for a minute or three...turn it on again and scan for the wireless network in range. if it doesnt find it again, reset the router, by reseting you clearout all statistics saved on the router, and therefor more easy to find. you also have to reprogram the router(put in the adresses,DNS,

D-link 615 wireless router having problems connecting with my macbook pro. keeps dropping connections.  the airport status always shows its scanning.  always very slow.

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router. If possible then upgrade the firmware of the router. try changing the wireless channel of the router. Is there any computer connected to the router? If not then connect the computer to the router and open the set up page of the router.

I have a macbook and a pc with a cable modem and an airport extreme. I want to hook them both up so I can use the internet at the same time on the pc and the macbook. How do I do this or hook it up?

Not sure what you have tried yet, so I'll suggest the first thing to try ...
The cable modem will have an ethernet jack on it for "LAN" - you will need an ethernet cable ... plug the cable into this jack .. and the other end of the cable into the airport extreme .. and then power up the airport extreme .. if the airport extreme is new, it will set itself up automatically .. if not new, it might still set itself up automatically - look for a green light on the extreme ... if you have a green light you should be in good shape
Of course your computers have to be in range, say within about 100 feet of the extreme to pick up its wireless signal.
In the MacBook, make sure Airport is turned on - in System Preferences under Network.
Your MacBook should figure things out all by itself and you should be able to connect to the Internet.
On the PC, you'll need a wireless card if you don't already have one ...

You should be able to use the internet simultaneously and each computer should be able to share files if you want to try that (file sharing is turned off by default on the Mac, not sure about the PC)

Good luck!

I have installed an Airport Extreme wireless system for my home. It works fine on an old pc hard wired and wireless on my macbook pro and my windows xp64 system. It can't find an IP address from my Dell...

You need to make sure the wireless card of the Dell is set to the same settings of the Airport. Also, try to ping the Dell under the ipconfig command. If you still have no connection, then you have a problem with the wireless card.

Wlan light orange

Orange WLAN light means no connectivity to the network. Try to reconnect to your wireless network and make sure to enter the correct wireless settings like the network key and SSID.

Macbook airport tooooo slow

When your MacBook Air is showing some performance issues, it can be caused by either hardware or system problems. If you don't want to pay for hardware upgrade, then try cleaning the system to improve the Macbook speed. Learn more here: http://www.speedupmacbook.com/speed-up-macbook-air.html
