Look at the menu settings on your TV. Some TVs you can set the video to come in through AV (the red, yellow and white), and the sound come in through something else, like HDMI. You need to make sure the TV is set up to where all are on the same setting.
If that doesn't work, I would check and see if your AV cables from your PS2 work on another TV. That way you can rule out whether the problem is the TV or the cable itself.

Well the LCD or TV must have rca..jacks yellow video..red and white is audio..if not u can get a component jack wires for PS2..red.blue..green...video....red and white audio..the TV must have those connections ..for PS2..or get old school cable connected hook ups for PS2..hooks in cable or antenna connecter on TV..UHF connected for ps2
you should have a video lead with 3 plugs on it ??
red / white and yellow...
If you do not have audio input and video input, then will need a converter (converts your plugs in scart)
I assume you have scart sockets on your tv ??
Your television could have red, white and yellow ports on it, if it doesnt, get a scart adapter (if you don't have one buy 1) and plug the leads into that, and then plug that into the back of the TV in a scart output
If your sanyo has a video input (yellow) available, and audio inputs available (white and red) then you just need to connect them. Then you need to select the proper input on the TV set. These may be on the back, side, or front of the TV.
try to trouble shoot if the wire is the problem, how? remove the 3 colored wires from the tv and ps2 then try to use the red color instead of yellow to the video from tv and ps2 (both red) temporarily do not use the yellow color. once a picture appears use now the white for the audio (both white) for left audio once there is a sound you may try the yellow for the right audio. i hope this will help you and hear a positve reply from you.
This is a bit confusing. You cannot hook a CD/DVD player up to the PS2 console. If your trying to figure how to hook a PS2 console and a CD /DVD player up to a AV system. you need to hook the PS2 Yellow, White and Red cables to any input. Not just a DVD or CD input. Yellow is Video you need that. Hook the red and white to the same selected input.
USE a VCR between the PS2 and the Sylvania TV. Hook the PS2 A/V cable RCA connectors( Red, Yellow, White) to one of the the Video input RCA connectors( Yellow, Red, White) on the VCR. Hook the VCR Cable output to your Sylvania Cable input. Set the Sylvania Tv to channel 3 or 4. Set the VCR channel to Line 1 or Line 2. This should work. I hope it helps you.
