Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Drive is not displyed when connected to Computer

I got this Sandisk e260 4GB MP3 played as a birthday gift from my Aunt who brought this from USA. It worked for sometime, I copied some songs. But recently when I connected the Sandisk MP3 player to the computer, the drive is not displayed, due to which I am unable to copy the songs, to the MP3. When connected to computer, the message "refresh database" is displayed on the MP3. It is not allowing to listen to songs. It is not allowing to go to main menu to choose the options. All in all, its completely not working. Can you suggest some solution how can I make my MP3 work.

You need to make sure you are connected to a 2.0USB port if your computer is not IDing it try a friends computer or a labtop...Download the sansa update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe).
to a flash drive so you can download it to the friends com or lab...Install the update follow instructions connect mp3 when told...this gives new firmware, manual, video/pictures/media converter....install the converter.......Make sure it's in msc USBmode in settings...Then try with your computer;......

Sandisk sansa shaker

If you have a small USB cord that is really small on one end & big in the other, hook it up in one of the USB ports in your computer. Place the small end of the USB cord into the really small slot where you put the batteries in.

You should have heard you copmuter make a sound, Then your MP3 player should be lit up around the pause/play button.

Open my computer, Removable disk F ,Then open the drive on disc F ( which is your mp3 player )

then you have a new window open, you should be able to just drag the music files into the new window which will go directly onto your mp3 player
