I bought a Pioneer DV-410V-S DVD player in the UK (Region 2) but it was advertised as Multi Regional and i needed it for Region 1 DVD's but it wont! Dont suppose anyone knows how to unlock this player? or at least change it to Region 1? cheers for your help. [email protected]

Here:

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray

2. Press the 2 button on your remote control

3. Press the 4 button on your remote control

4. Press the 0 button on your remote control

5. Press the 3 button on your remote control

6. Press the 9 button on your remote control

7. Press the 6 button on your remote control

8. Press the 0 button on your remote control

9. Press the Enter button on your remote control to change the region to 1 for
region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region playback

10. Press the Open button on your remote control to close the drive tray

11. Power off the DVD player

12. Power on the DVD player

I can see if there is a region hack for your DVD, this is not always available.

Yes, there is a region hack , you need to u[pdate the firmware to version YJB8223B.

Pioneer model # DV-c503 will play DVD but does not play CD's anymore.

Hello,
The problem could be dirt on the surface of the lens.
Use a dry cotton bud to clean the surface of the lens, this you have to do gently because the lens is fragile.
If otherwise you have to change the lens.
Try websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy parts for replacement..

DV-410V-K firmware upgrade

U can't upgrade firware,it not a free software,only companies use these.
Use lower speed if 1-16X just use 1-12X.

Most DVD players I've seen are either multi-regional or one-region units. The DVD player you bought might be a one-region device. I'd check on that first. If it is, then you'll only be able to play DVD's made for that particular region. If it is multi-regional, look in the manual or go to Pioneer's website to possibly find the codes.
