Question about HP Officejet Pro K850 InkJet Printer

Printer Not Responding

The printer is on and plugged in, but my computer says that "communication with printer" with not there. Everything is plugged in and turned on, and my firewall setting is set correctly.

Turn your botho (PC and printer) of an turn it on that may solve this problem.
if after doing this also still remain the bug the reinstall your printer driver in PC.

The printer is not communicating with the computer. Recheck the IP address on the printer against which port on the computer is selected. If everything checks out ok then uninstall the printer driver and reinstall.

Printer not responding


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

I get a message saying the printer cannot communicate with computer. Everything is connected properly. Also, the wifi light is flashing. Sometimes it prints, but it randomly cannot...

My lexmark x6650 printer will not connect back online

If your printer is connected via USB cable to your computer, simply disconnect the printer from your computer, reboot your pc and unplug/re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When everything turns back on, reconnect the printer into the pc. Wait for the computer to fully recognize the USB connection. Try to print again.

Problem Communicating with the printer Lexmark Z1300 USB cable not responding to the Computer.


1. Try another USB cable.
2. See if you can detect it when you search for new printers in the printers folder.
3. Reinstall the printer software.

Communication problem printer lexmark2600


With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

Printer not communicating with computer


(1) Try a power cycle: Try turning the printer off, then unplug the power supply from the printer, then unplug the USB cable from the printer then the back of the computer; wait 30 second; then plug the USB cable back into the computer, then back into the printer then plug the power supply back into the printer and turn it on – run a test print: Start>Settings>Printers>Right-click on the printer>Properties>Print Test Page

(2) Update the USB drivers

my printer is not doing anything. It pops up " cannot communicate with printer." please tell me what I can do. I have tried everything I know.
