Water coming out of the powder draw when the draw is closed
Hi, i have a secondhand hotpoint wd62, i have cleaned all the draw and inside and placed the draw back in with powder, but when the water comes into the draw to take the powder water runs out of the draw front and down the machine front, i have tried lifting the front so that the angle is slightly backward but this still happens, can anybody help?

water goes through softner and powder draw hole gets gunged up stopping water supply take drawer out and clean then clean inside where draw fits black gunge blocks small hole where water comes through should do the trick
You need to clean the filter.
Remove lower rear panel of washer.
Remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the plastic filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

try fuse on plug this may be gone, also the door interlock switch, try a light bang with fist near door catch see if this will do it, what i do suspect is the door inerlock is faulty, this is a safety device which locks the door when machine is in washig/spinning mode it aso stops machine working when you open the door, this is also a safety device, good luck al. xxxx
no the steam from the dryer part comes out of outlet tube the same tube were the water comes out hotpoint washer/dryers use a condensing chamber which allows the steam to cool down a pass through it as water does and through the outlet pipe
Assuming that the bit the water is going into is the prewash dispenser (rather than a bleach or conditioner dispenser), why not just put the powder into there?
Some of these machines can be a bit illogical about where the main wash powder is meant to go - sometimes even varies depending on which cycle you're running.
If you can find a place that will take the powder at the right time, your problem is solved. If the instructions say different, it might even be them that's wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.
