Tethin C1000+ does not connect to internet using our provider
Tethin C1000+ does not connect to the internet using our service provider (Zain) Zambia. Other services like sms and normal phoning it is okay it works properly but as for accessing or connecting to the internet it fails. Can someone out there give me the procedure on how to configure it so that I can start enjoying the product (Tethin C1000+). I feel depressed each time I am out of office and wish to check for incoming mails. Please help me. This is a chinese make phone

There is Two Ways to Configure.One is By sending SMS &Other is Manual Configuring...
First you have to Send Message like Following.....
Send an SMS with the text INTERNET with your phone make and model to 232.
For example, for Nokia 9300i: Send internet(Space)nokia 9300i to 232. (You have to Send INTERNET SONY ERICSSON K850i(To 232)
When your settings arrive choose the option to save it. If prompted for a PIN, use 0 (zero). If prompted for a longer pin use 0000
Access point :internet.ng.zain.com
User name: (Keep blank)
Password :(Keep blank)
Authentication : Normal

This one issue that you might encounter using a China phone. Some times the usual settings that the Wireless companies use does not work on this kind of phone. This might be due to incompatible hardware or software running on the phone.
You can check if the China phone's manufacturer has a web site. They might have a support link. But not all have this. Or check with Zain if they were able to get their service to work before with this brand and model.
Usually, mms has settings like gprs. Therefore these settings needs to be set on your phone by your Internet service provider, on request.
In my country, mms and gprs phone setting are usually sent automatically by internet service providers immediately you insert your sim card into a phone that has mms & gprs. And these internet service providers are also the network providers.
For instance, if your network provider is Zain, MMS & GPRS settings must be from Zain because that's the network you are using. These settings are as follows: IP Adress (eg. 172.018.254.005), homepage (e.g wap.uk.zain.com), port (1902) and so on....
So check if the above are intact on your phone as this is the only thing that can make your mms work.
Go to message, under message, look out for mms settings and you will see what I am talking about.
to do this find out if your chinese phone has the bluethooth function. if it those, then simple turn it on and also meke sure it is in visible mode. activate that of the nokia phone which should also be in visible mode. pair the two phones with the same pass word. now go to your nokia's phone book and mark all the contact. choose send from the option list and then choose through bluethoot. your phone should search and the find the other device. incase send all those not work please try sending it one after the other.
