Question about SanDisk Sansa e270 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Useless folders okay, wasn't exactly a big problem to start with, just had this one file called "1" that wouldn't be deleted. 0mb, was apparently last modified in 30/11/2047 .....somethings not right, yes? contains two other files with random letters and symbols as the titles will be deleted, but come back after a while. it got annoying when i deleted all my music off my sansa for a new start, with the exception of that "1" file, and one of my other music files wouldn't be also filled will 0mb files. virus? i now can't put music files on, and i have about 350 songs that won't come off or play because of the bad track screen. oh dear.

Try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Deleting tracks off 4gb sa2640 gogear

The files are not deleted from the device but moved to the recycle bin. To completely remove the files from the MP3 player, use the following procedure:
1. Open Windows Explorer by double clicking the My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
3. Select the Tab View and check to select the Show hidden Files and Folders option.
4. Navigate to the device. A folder called recycle bin is available. Completely remove this folder from the device.Once the recycle bin folder is removed, the files are completely removed from the device and the free space is available.

I want to know how delete and reinstall data on my ipod model no. A1136

it really does not matter the model...... this goes for all MP3 devices.... do you have your MP3 files backed up on Itunes or they can be replace right...ok

attached Ipod to PC... Itunes will load /pop up (close it ....out ... this is a must)

now go to start / my computer see the device (Ipod).. open it , copy all the folders plus hidden ones
save these folders to your PC in a Temp should have at least 3 plus 1 or 2 hidden folders

okay are the folders are copied to the C drives? yes... go to the device and right click and format the IPOD yes this will delete the whole ipod....its finished now you must go back to that Temp folder and copied all the folders and paste back on to the IPOD.... Okay open the Itunes and place all your files back on to your new as it use to be IPOD enjoy

and Seasons Greetings

I couldn't delete song files from T.sonic 850. I connect it to my computer thru USB & when i delete the song files, it get duplicated & appear as 0MB. when i play the player, those songs appeared...

I had this exact problem as well. The solution was to allow Windows to "Scan and Repair" the file system. The scan will likely detect all the duplicate 0-byte files created as you tried to delete files, and will remove these. In addition it should resolve the underlying problem such that you can now delete files normally without creating more of these 0-byte duplicates.

If this is windows

1 connect the player to your computer
2 go to 'My computer'
3 select your mp3 player's icon, until you see one of the folders marked 'Music'(or something like that)
4 then just delete the songs you want deleted.

Sorry if this didn't work, I'm short on time

I cannot delete folders from my GPX they are apparently "Read Only"!

You may try to delete your folders with Unlocker
If it doesn't you could try in dos (run cmd):
attrib -s -h -r "location" /s
(location being where the folder is located.)
This should remove any Systems file flag, read only flag or hidden file flag.
del /F "folders"
