SOURCE: placement of switch mechanism

Go to www.toolpartsdirect.com and in the search box select brand and enter your model number and you should be able to find a break-down of your machine which will give you an idea as to how it goes together.I tried the GT249/H1 and GT249 as the model number and it didn't come up so you will have to look for a tag with the model and serial number on it for the correct number.

Where is the correct spot to put the magnet on the spoke for the v12 mini

The only placement requirement for the magnet is that it pass exactly next to the sending unit you mount on the fork (there is usually a mark on the unit). So, really the placement of the sending unit determines the "correct" placement of the magnet on the spoke.

Poor washing

Tear down the lower spray arm mechanism to the deck, noting placement and orientation of each part as removed. Look for cracked/split plastic while you do this. At the bottom, you should find a large screen that is likely plugged with food and water deposits. Soak it in a solution of hot water, detergent, and white vinegar for about an hour. Scrub it if necessary to get the screen clean and open. Clean any openings in the deck of food deposits. Reassemble everything in reverse order. Inspect and clean all of the spray arms (the small holes), and look for any split seams in the arms. Hope this helps!

Dishwasher pumps water into it but will not wash. Sounds like something is turning underneath but still nothing?

Tear down the lower spray arm mechanism to the deck noting placement and orientation of each part as removed. At the bottom, there should be a large screen that is probably pretty well plugged--soak it in a solution of hot water, detergent, and white vinegar for an hour or so. Scrub the surface with a brush to help dislodge water and food deposits. Inspect all openings in the deck for any food deposits. Check the pump mechanism to see if it is attached to the motor properly. Reassemble in reverse order. Check the spray arms for any plugged spray holes and for any split seams. Hopefully, this will restore operation.
