Then take the memory card from the camera and put it into a card reader attached to your computer. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Hello. Remove your SD card and look carefully at the edges of it. you will see a little lock which prevents you from deleting any pictures. Just unlock it and reinsert it. Joe

Your memory card should have a little switch on it that has the role of "Write protect". you just need to move that switch.
