Problem:
i am in problem please help me.i have nokia N73 which was initially used in Japan by other. but now when i am trying to use the new sim card here in Nepal, the message "sim card not valid" appears on the screen.
Solution:
To enter the code to the phone (switch on without SIM card).Input the Code in the phone as follows: #pw+??????????????+1##pw+??????????????+2##pw+??????????????+3##pw+??????????????+4##pw+??????????????+5##pw+??????????????+6##pw+??????????????+7#Here: ?????????????? You should enter generated code.First code in the end of the string must be added + 1#Code number 7 in the end of the string must be added + 7#If you have proper software and You know on which lock, phoneis closed just simply enter proper CODE.If YOU DONT KNOW - which lock is closed do the following: 1. Enter the first code, if it’s the wrong code - WAIT 30 seconds!!! And then: 2. Enter the code number seven this will open all locks. How to get 'p' 'w' '+' signs?Press * several times on keyboard of phone...There's no guarantee that any code will work, because I couldn't find a Japanese pre-set network code '44020000' for Vodafone required for calculating the code. One of these might work: IMEI: 351851017293607 Your code's are:#pw+947422376576223+1##pw+198444027616245+2##pw+024523552267724+3##pw+427917252521212+4##pw+992932523001337+5##pw+724960454241361+6##pw+323156750133451+7#!!Warning!!If the codes don’t work after entering 5 codes You will lock the ‘CODE UNLOCK FUNCTION’ and it will be possible to unlock the phone only by using a cable/device.
Security code N 73
Problem:
Sir please tell me the security code of N 73
Solution:
SIM pin code: This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even if your sim is put into another handset. To reset it, you need the PUK code: Pin Unlock Code (PUK) If you miss key (or forget) your SIM pin code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the SIM will lock up, and you’ll need to enter the PUK unlock code to release it. You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled. Phone Security Code:This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:Master Reset Code Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times. Which is the one that you want? Special Code/Service Provider Lock Code: This code is required to allow a phone locked to a particular network's SIM cards to be used with a SIM card from another network. Orange and T-mobile lock handsets in this way, though O2 and Vodafone are beginning to lock PAYG and WAP handsets. The unlock code varies from individual handset to handset. Blacklisting: This is not a security code, but it works like one! To help combat mobile phone thefts, the networks share a database of the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of mobile phones that have been reported stolen. Once a phone is on this list, it will not be allowed to use any of the networks. This can be a risk if you buy a second-hand phone, because if it has been stolen, or if an unscrupulous seller makes an insurance claim after selling, the phone you bought in good faith may be permanently disabled. Be very careful to check the source of a second-hand phone! -----------------------------The default security code for Nokia is 12345 IMEI: 356406017443168 Master code: 5335036136Take your SIM card out first. This is the code needed to reset the Security code, nothing else, and it’s for your phone only. You type in the security codes (anything) until the phone request the Master code; when it does, leave your phone still, don’t use it for 15 minutes, then type in the Master code.

Hi!
Is it the Puk code or phone lock code you are talking about? Kindly advise if its a Postpaid connection?
Try 1402244372
Please try 00000 and if it asks for PUK code which is network dependent then ask vodafone to provide you th code as it can only be provided by Network provider.
If it helps a "Fixya" rating would be apprecieated.
Thanks
Rylee
1402244372 is the master reset code which will help for sure.
If this doesnt work then you need to ask vodafone to provide you the code as then it can only be provided by Network provider.
Thanks
